01Cosmetology

Hair, from the first section to the final finish

The full craft of hair — cutting, coloring, styling and client care, practiced on real guests in our student salon under licensed instructor supervision.

What students learn

  • Haircutting fundamentals through advanced sectioning and shaping
  • Color theory, formulation, lightening and corrective work
  • Blowouts, thermal styling, sets and finishing
  • Scalp and hair health, sanitation and Michigan salon standards
  • Client consultation, retail knowledge and salon professionalism

Graduates receive a diploma and are prepared to sit for Michigan state licensure through LARA (Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs).

02Esthetics

Skin care, treatment and the aesthetician's eye

Skin analysis, facial treatment and hair removal — the aesthetician's training, built on hands-on hours with supervised clients.

What students learn

  • Skin analysis and treatment planning for different skin types
  • Facials, cleansing, exfoliation, masking and extractions
  • Waxing and hair-removal technique with proper sanitation
  • Makeup application and finishing
  • Product knowledge, contraindications and client aftercare

The manicurist's program — natural nail care, pedicures, enhancements and the finish work that keeps clients coming back.

  • Manicuring and pedicuring, step by step

  • Polish application, gel and nail enhancement technique

04Instructor Training

Licensed professionals learning to teach

For licensed professionals ready to pass the craft on — teaching method, classroom practice and curriculum delivery.
